Biografía:

For the past 7 years, I've taught ESL to all levels and ages and prepared many of my students for official English language exams. I believe in customizing my approach to cater to the unique needs and learning styles of each student, ensuring effective communication and comprehension. I thoroughly enjoy motivating my students through games or competitive activities when applicable and I also love getting to know my students and to learn about their culture, and building relationships with them.

Mi metodología de enseñanza:
The most important thing, in my opinion, is to make classes dynamic and fun. So I always make sure there is a wide range of activities within one class and that students always work on more than one skill. Depending on my student's needs and goals, I carefully choose the material, which includes audios, texts, videos, games, and a variety of worksheets. If a student is preparing for an official exam, I make sure that they really comprehend each part of the exam and the expectations for each skill, and that they practice the exam itself through samples and "mock exams." I insist on students doing homework if they have the time, because I believe revision and consistent practice outside of the class is absolutely crucial for progress.
Mi experiencia docente:

I got my TESOL certification in 2017 and have been teaching ever since! I have had small groups, groups of up to 15 students, and private classes. My students have been anywhere from 8 to 70 years old, and I have taught all levels from A1 to C2, through a mixture of face-to-face and online classes. I have a lot of experience with exam preparation for official language exams, following a set curriculum if necessary, using text books, but also creating my own material or adapting pre-existing material, and delivering personalised conversational classes.

Mi experiencia fuera de la enseñanza:

In terms of my professional background, I have a lot of years of experience working face to face with people. I worked as a customer service representative for Airbnb, as a waitress and barista, as a yoga teacher, and as a camp counselor. So clearly, I enjoy working with people and having jobs that include human interaction. When it comes to more personal aspects of my life, I am an artist and an avid traveller. Since I was very young, I've desired to constantly learn about other cultures and have new and exciting experiences. I believe there is nothing like travelling to broaden our horizons and open our minds. And as I have always had a creative side, I've dabbled in different types of visual art, and I have also always loved dancing. Apart from that, I love spending time in nature, cooking, and doing yoga. And one last detail about me is that I have a big fluffy white cat that I adore.
