Biografía:
In my classes, I aim to make lessons engaging, interactive, and relevant to the students’ lives. I believe that when students can relate to what they’re learning, whether it’s grammar, vocabulary, or new concepts, they’re more likely to retain it. Lessons are built dependent of the student's language learning goals and needs, such as working towards an A1 exam or a desire to improve conversational skills.
Mi metodología de enseñanza:
- Interactive, engaging lessons tailored to your level and goals
- Clear explanations with practical, real-world examples
- A mix of speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities
- Support for exam preparations and structured progress tracking
- Conversational practice to build confidence and fluency
- Digital resources, exercises, and activities for practice outside class
- A friendly, encouraging environment where questions are always welcome
Mi experiencia docente:
I teach German and English to Spanish-speaking learners, supporting both children and adults. I work with adult beginners preparing for A1 exams and offer conversational classes tailored to their goals, combining structured guidance with interactive practice to build confidence and fluency. I also volunteered in a remote jungle community near Iquitos, teaching arts, crafts, music, and English to children in a creative, resourceful environment. Additionally, I coordinated English and volunteer programs for an NGO in Huanchaco, delivering English, maths, and environmental education to children aged 5–12, teaching at a local primary school, and facilitating community English classes for learners of all ages. I developed level-appropriate lesson plans and supported volunteers through feedback, inductions, and group activities.
Mi experiencia fuera de la enseñanza:
I hold a master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering and have worked in both research and industry fields, investigating the integrity of metals and polymers. I took a special interest in metal additive manufacturing (3D printing), resulting in me co-authoring a published research paper, as well as developing machine learning algorithms. In my role as a train maintenance engineer, I led a team of over 15 engineers, coordinating complex projects and fostering collaboration across departments and creating digital tools to streamline workflows and improve efficiency. These experiences developed strong communication, organization, and leadership skills. I also volunteered in STEM outreach, delivering talks to inspire young women in engineering. These experiences have strengthened my ability to explain complex ideas clearly and support diverse learners.
