I have a strong background in education, starting as a mentor and English tutor at university, where I enhanced students’ academic writing, critical thinking, and communication skills. In 2021, I became a lecturer, creating engaging, learner-centered content. My teaching methodology emphasizes a learner-centered approach, combining interactive discussions, practical examples, and technology-enhanced learning accessible, relatable and effective.

I have been tutoring English since 2020, beginning with university learners. Over the past year, I have been teaching online, working with adult learners and professionals from around the world. Teaching students from different countries has given me exposure to diverse cultures, learning styles, and communication preferences, which allows me to adapt lessons effectively to each individual. I customize lessons to students’ goals, whether improving conversation, grammar, or workplace English, using a patient, encouraging, and interactive approach to help them build confidence and improve step by step.

I am from South Africa and bring a diverse professional background to my teaching. I have experience in the mining sector, focusing on social performance and stakeholder engagement, and currently work in the renewable energy industry. I am also pursuing my Master’s in Development Studies, which allows me to bring a well-rounded and informed perspective to lessons. These experiences have strengthened my communication, problem-solving, and cross-cultural skills, helping me connect with learners from different backgrounds.
