Hello! My name is Mhairi and I am a native English speaker from the United Kingdom. I LOVE studying languages and I studied Spanish and Chinese at university for 4 years. I like to help other people find their passion for languages and help them discover different cultures and traditions. I have discovered that learning a new language creates so many exciting opportunities and I would love for my students to experience this.

Mi experiencia docente:
I started teaching English when I was 18 years old and working as an Au Pair in Spain. From there, my passion for teaching began and I have continued to give English lessons to all kinds of students ranging from children to adults. I have taught English to people from many different countries including India, Spain & Peru. My English classes are mostly conversation-based and I love to have interesting conversations and learn about my students. Topics can include: hobbies, food, workplace, school, daily life etc. I also like to adjust my classes to cater to what my students need in order to improve their English. We will also touch on some grammar, pronunciation and culture depending on each student's needs.
Mi experiencia fuera de la enseñanza:
I am from the United Kingdom, from a small town called Falmouth and I grew up by the ocean! I started learning Spanish when I was 12 years old and I fell in love with learning languages. My friends often describe me as a very calm and patient person and I like to maintain that energy in my classes. I am also extremely organised and take the time to prepare for each class. Aside from teaching, I enjoy being outside especially surfing, hiking, and running. I am an avid reader and you will often find me reading a book in the sun! I also like to challenge myself and read books in different languages such as Spanish.
