Biografía:
I have always been very interested in the power of the spoken word, from everyday language to classical literature. I like to connect with my students and understand that to learn you must be interested. I will always be patient and have a good sense of humour. Speaking the language and regular practice are both essential so I start with basic conversation ,words and phrases that will be the foundation to build on.

- Screen sharing for descriptive purposes
- Chat function to introduce and spell check new words
- Roleplay to act out conversation scenarios e.g. Interview, ordering a meal, making a complaint
- Mouth positions to teach phonetics/pronunciation
- You Tube /podcasts to illustrate informal speech/accents/slang/idioms
Mi experiencia docente:
After thinking of teaching as a career many years ago whilst studying English Literature I decided to focus on a science based job but in the last year have started to teach online. I have obtained a TEFL 120 hour certificate and complimented this with an advanced certificate for Teaching Online. The students I have taught have been adults and teenagers who want to further/master English for job opportunities , integrate into a new country or purely for travel abroad /hobby.
Mi experiencia fuera de la enseñanza:
My original career path was in healthcare and I qualified as an Operating Department Practitioner working in a busy hospital with multiple theatres covering almost all types of surgical procedure. I specialized in anaesthetics and taught and assessed students learning surgical/ anaesthetic support and was assessed myself and certified to perform this task.
